SHTF Gear: Fiskars 18' machete saw review

This is a look at the Fiskars machete saw. Fiskars makes very good products and I recently picked up several of their items on clearance to review. This is a machete that is worth easily twice what I paid for it, and it's much better than the Ozark Trail or Coleman's junk that is sold at about the same price point. Thanks for watching. Looks just like the Gerber gator.
Fiskars makes great stuff you can use in the woods; from snips, machetes, bow saws, folding saws, hatchets and axes

I think the saw is shitty. It came somewhat dull. The handle is better than some bad ones. Handle is kinda fat but absorbs shock well.

Yeah, I have one of the flimsy box store machete's. A better one is on my list of good gear to purchase so I'll try this one on your word. Have my eye on other one's also. Nothing wrong with having a few of those in the shed for different jobs. Thanks for the review.

I have the Gerber one. I wonder how this holds up over time. I would really have liked to see it chopping and then seen the edge up close to see if it bent and chipped.

Inset video... Over forty strokes and still didn't saw through the 1 to 1.5 inch branch... Maybe not such a good saw.
