Great, after trying for two years thro various different expat"agencies", that just never got back to me, I've done my residencia myself, total cost E12:00 and a bit of my own time. Well, I'm not working atm obviously. Painless and a lot cheaper.

We don’t have until the end of the year. We are not actually obligated to change from green cart to TIE until you wish. However it’s more durable photo and chipped.. after 5 years of residency you can apply for 10 year TIE so might as well change it once you hit the first 5 year mark.

Hello there! I lived in Spain from 2003 - 2018. I have a Certificado de Registro (green paper) from 2011. Can I still get a TIE although being away from Spain during the last 5 years now?

Can you tell me please what is the process now to retire to Spain. I understand I will need private health care but I'm hearing stories about money in Spanish bank requirements. I intend to retire to Spain in 2024 so any advice would be most welcome.

So I booked the TIE meeting (Exclusivamente para el Brexit) which got me no where, theyre now telling me I need to apply for the green card first. I am trying to get the CERTIFICADOS UE meeting but I cant get an appoitnment I've been trying for weeks! Do we only have until the end of the year as I can see myself never getting one. Any advice would be much appreciated ! Thanks, Stephen
