Riders complain about wait times, yet when drivers arrive we almost always have to wait at least 4 to 5 minutes for the rider to come out.

Experienced Uber drivers are quitting in droves because Uber now takes over 60% of the fare, plus they’ve been caught stealing drivers tips in order to supplement their failing Uber eats delivery service.

To put it in perspective, when I first started doing Uber as a rideshare driver in 2016 I received 80% of the fare and Uber received the other 20% of the fare, plus a dollar fee per ride for safe rider insurance. Now Uber takes over 60% of the fare, plus the same one dollar a ride safe rider insurance fee.

Many gig drivers as myself moved over to other gig applications that pay much better and don’t steal you blind at every turn.

yep, in the UK drivers are leaving Uber because of poor pay and going to local cab companies where they earn more

Blame Uber for this. They take anywhere from between 40% to 80% of the fare. Drivers are not having it anymore

While you are waiting extra for your pick up, drivers are parked all over town, logged into the Uber app and ready to work. Unfortunately Uber is bombarding drivers will lowball fare offers, and it makes more economic sense to sit parked than it does to complete your trip. In my market Uber has lowered regular fares, cut the weekly bonuses, and reduced the EV vehicle incentive. This has resulted in more surge pricing, but even there the surge zone always seems just out of reach, dissipating as you drive towards it. My acceptance rate used to be over 90%, but since Uber cut fares with Upfront Pricing 2 years ago, my acceptance rate struggles to stay above 70%. Many drivers reject even more trips than I do. Uber doesn't care that passengers are waiting longer. When they finally find a willing driver, Uber will be keeping 50-60% of the fare you pay, despite what they claim. Pay us fairly and we are ready and willing to accept every trip

Uber no longer gives the ride to the closest driver. This is part of it. They have a new program called "trip radar' and drivers have to fight for the good fares or take the crumbs. And because they now tell us where we are going, this somehow is an expense to them, so they they take 50-70% of the fare. When I first started they had bonuses that paid $800 for 80 rides in 4 days. That is long gone. And now under the new system it is impossible to do that amount of rides. Today I worked 8.5 hours and did 8 rides. Less than 1 ride per hour. Under the old system we could do 2-3 rides per hour. Because of the bad offers most drivers are cherry picking their trips and this leads to longer wait times. Anyway, sorry for rambling on but talk to drivers, NOT to uber. They will just lie and make up some BS.

I had a rider tell me that the prices were ridiculous. I asked how much they were paying, and he said $38. He was shocked when I told him that I was only getting just under $16 of that. He asked me if he could pay me directly instead, so I cancelled the trip and agreed on $25 cash.

Uber likes to ping so many under $4 rides, its ridiculious! Yet they are charging the rider $10 or more for it. All the expenses are on the drivers and drivers cherry pick because they don't want to work for charity. I've seen rides as low as $2.50 for a person who could literally just walk a block or two, but they didn't want to. Riders might as well get on the bus because here its costs only $1.50 get onboard one.

Let Uber show us the money and we will be with you in 3 minutes. Cost of living went up and wages are increased but Uber is giving us $4.59 3 to 5 miles and this is why you have to Waite long time.

A taxi fare to Dulles airport is 70 to 80 dollars and Uber wants us to go Dulles airport $18.00 to $22.00 while Uber takes $70.00 to 80.00. Also there’s no guarantee ride back.

I'm a Uber driver, I used rideshare to get where I needed to go tipped the driver $10.00 we waited to see if he got it he got it but it was only $5.00...
