eleven & max | i don't know if you mean everything to me (au)

au: eleven grew up without learning anything about love, but she was taugh that she couldn't have feelings for someone of the same gender. on the other side of the story, max was totally in love with her best friend but she was too afraid of not being mutual, all she wanted was to get rid of this feeling and she opened up to lucas about it. when they finally talk about it and decide to rewrite their story, they didn't know they would have to deal with homophobia, specially from people they love. sometimes was easier and sometimes it felt like the world would fell apart. it was the beginning of something, something massive. but they knew they still had a long way to go. (in the end you can see hop starting to accept the situation tho)
