In part one of his keynote speech, Druckmann talks about his first characters developed for a zombie story, working with George A. Romero, and the failed version of "The Last of Us" known as "Mankind."

Mankind actually sounded like a better idea. An old man and a little girl surviving in a zombie apocalypse (if given more time) could have worked out.

Someone explain to me how a zombie plague that only affects women is misogynistic. There's Y the Last Man and it's functionally similar and no one's called it "misandrist." There's an innumerable amount of games where you shoot living, healthy men in the face because you're told to and the only reason I've heard it labeled as misandrist is as a counterpoint to Anita and her garbage.
