Neil Druckmann Talks The Last of Us Movie

Naughty Dog creative director Neil Druckmann talks a bit about where they are at in the Hollywood adaptation of The Last of Us.

I think making a film of a game which is already essentially a movie totally discredits the game itself. We don't need a Last Of Us movie.

There's only two ways this can go:

It can go extremely well for both Hollywood movies and video games alike, as they can be additive towards each other.
It can go extremely bad for video games, as with previous video game movies that did not impress the Hollywood industry.

Since this is Neil Druckmann, I'm inclined to believe in the first way.

Kinda glad the film hit a dead end. I'm sure that Neil would make an incredible film, but not even he could capture the perfection of the game.

I hope they cast Ellen Page as Ellie and Hugh Jackman as Joel because the two of them look exactly like Joel and Ellie from the game.
