THAI BASIL PESTO Is A Different Spin On Pesto

Thai Basil Pesto is a different spin on traditional pesto. Instead of the usual parmesan cheese and pine nuts, I skip the cheese and use lots of ingredients and flavors from Thai cooking. For the nut element, I use dry roasted peanuts which are typical in Pad Thai. I prefer using Thai Basil for the recipe for more authentic Thai taste, but I only had regular basil available. It still works great in this recipe so don’t stress if you can’t find Thai Basil and use what is available to you.
