I was an alpha-tester for the ARPANET in 1969 when they brought a Telex machine to our High school here in Vancouver. We sent a 'e-mail' to SFU in nearby Burnaby, BC. The acoustic modem was used with a telephone handset to commuicate. It's been 52 years since this happened.

ഭാരതം shown in the thumbnail meaning Bharat - which means India

The language used is Malayalam used in Kerala, India

TBH I have never seen that in my life in any webpages

I once read that the business model for “.wtf” was similar to “sucks.” They also assumed companies and famous people would pay top dollar to buy their own names, or the names of their branded products or services, on that extension as a purely defensive measure. It would prevent anyone from developing websites that are critical of them using that extension.

used to work for a company that was holding a huge expo (cancelled due to 2020),
I had looked into the possibility of registering a domain with our own TLD and the *application form* costs £100, 000.
WHICH CAN GET REJECTED. SO YOU HAVE TO PAY IT AGAIN.

.dot is my favorite! Imagine the hilarity. It's almost as good as the classic "Who's on first"

Suggestion: Delete every non-important file from Windows and show how limited the features are then.

There are some TLDs from nations that do not exist anymore like .dd (east germany).
And there are some really obscure regional TLDs like .bv (Bouvet Island)

Just a quick positive feedback: I gotta say, wow, your youtube channel is quite unique. Your videos are very interesting, the topics are varied and they're often discussed in the right amount of detail. Your videos are just a joy to watch, so good job, keep it up.

244-IPs are, as far as I know, a multicast IP range. This was used/intended for services like video broadcast.

9:29 Whether or not it displays the puny code or the UTF depends a lot on what characters are used, and what different categories of characters are used together. This is a security feature.

My issue with most of these newer TLDs is that sometimes URL/email validators don't recognize them, which can be a pain.

.local is specifically reserved for mDNS (Multicast DNS). It’s a DNS-like system for local networks that work without a dedicated DNS server.

I think it's funny how there was a Malayalam (language) domain in the thumbnail, and It says Bharatham which means India. And I live in Kerala (which is where this language is used)

One of my favourite TLDs is .我爱你 which is Chinese for "I Love You" 🙂

It's such a shame that ".dot" is still in proposal according to the ICANN wiki
