Thank you very much for this prayer. I received the baptism of the Holy Spirit and it was amazing. After I prayed the prayer which I believed, I started saying hallelujah over and over and then it beginned. I was aware in my mind but I had no control over my tongue. My spirit was speaking and although I didn't understand what was coming out it was a beautiful moment. My soul beginned to cry and I felt like I was observing. I didn't know why I was crying but I felt a deepness in my belly. It felt like an unction came from my belly. Even when I tried to say words I kept talking in tongues. Your reason for wanting to speak in tongues can't be for selfish reasons, God knows the heart. When I prayed the prayer I truly believed the verse that God is a better father than an earthly father and that if we ask he would give it. I'm not worthy of the gift that he has just given me, but I thank him for His grace and mercy. Amen

I've been praying for this wonderful gift for exactly 5 years! Thanks be to God I was blessed this morning at 3 AM with this gift. I must say I didn't know what was happening until I realized at that very moment I no longer had any control over what I was saying nor did I understand what was being uttered while crying. After this prayer I was at peace and in a trance I felt so much peace and rest I didn't want to move so I stayed there and talked to god in spirit I literally was brought into the heavens at first in this trance i seen this bright light and some sort of a mandoline light a portal from the light this multiple eyes winged creature or angel I assume spoke to me in a language and spoke in movement then took me or I was lifted in spirit without realizing it. There were multitudes of people praising the lord and singing praise in perfect tune and sync he was so bright and pure his presence was all I needed and wanted all my questions in life were answered and the questions I could think of were only questioned within my body in life in the physical which there in this place I understood they did not matter. nothing and nobody was like him. His presence was pure and so filling I cant express his glory it was just beautiful and great and all unidentifying but known as he is. Before I went to this place I heard a voice ask me what I wanted i went back and forth and found the only thing that mattered I said just a hug and then when I went there he gave me one. his light was so powerful and light burdened the closer he came I felt his love and peace come with such a overwhelming pure light way it was like something I cannot explain it was the best thing I have ever experienced in my entire life. He was just amazing and beautiful and good no words can capture his presence but words that have no real meaning it was alteritevely existential perfected presence of purity of light and glory. He was true and unchanged worthy and glorified in every way.
