G'day Legends! It was the week before Xmas and Santa came to visit me early!! After a slow start to the day I ended up finding some awesome fish and to top it all off, the weather was absolutely exceptional as well!
Merry Fishmas everyone!

Glad to see the life jacket. Even when you're not alone, it's a good idea. With everything you're wearing that absorbs water, it will be a task if you go over. We are new comers to you channel and love the content. Thank you!

Pro tip. Instead of butter, use clarified butter (or Ghee). Tastes exactly the same or better and holds a much higher temperature for pan frying. Especially good for small crumbed fillets like whiting because you can get the pan super hot, without burning the butter, to get a good crunch and not overcook the fillet

Really enjoy your shows. Wish I lived closer to the ocean to be able to salt water fish. Love the thrill of never knowing what may come from the ocean at any time. Keep up the great work on your videos.

When I was a young kid Steve Irwin was my hero and even though he’s not with us he still Is. but this guy and the Australian accent is my new boy. Sammy is the shit and Brave as hell to go offshore by himself with a single engine.

Yes it's a great idea fishing alone to have a kill switch with the lanyard. You can make the lanyard long enough to you can get all the way around the boat. But if you fell in, the boat will be stopped for you! Great video with some great fish.

Good comment on the life jackets! The auto inflation ones are great and after you have worn one a few times you don't notice it at all

Good call on the life jacket Sammy, I do the same when running solo, I also run an extension strap on my safety lanyard, that way I can still move about the boat and if I end up in the piss my motor will shut off and my boat won’t sail off into the sunset leaving me for the sharks.

Watching you catch them was very entertaining. Then you are teasing by cooking them. Oh God I'm hungry for them fish

Those fish certainly are fast-growing.
We were trolling fast and I was way way back behind the boat trying to get deep when I hooked one of those suckers. It was a good 25 pounder but by the time I got it gaffed it was 45 lb if it was a pound. Amazing fish!!!

I did a bit of sea fishing in my early teens back in the mid 80's living in the med and fishing along the coastline of Ibiza, pulling a little spinner off the back of my windsurfer (line tied to the mast - no wire trace, the simplest rig) and catching the odd mullet and dolphin fish (the med version, a fast streamlined fish, not so big and heavy around the head and gills). Those critters would go straight to the galley and into a pan of olive oil.
What I'd like to know, because I notice you're not showing it here, is how you despatch such a large creature. Back in the 80's we had a kind of club thing (can't remember the name) just a few inches long. But I think one would be there forever with such a tool and a big bugger like the one you caught here. Not fun, not for the angler and certainly no fun for the fish.
Enjoying your videos. Don't stop!

Finally a video where the catch is taken home cooked and enjoyed it really gets so boring when all these fisherman do is catch the fish and put them back i just don't see the point id rather see how they prepare their catch when they get home at least you can get some hints on different ways in witch you can prepare your catch of the day that's what i call awesome fishing i like to take my catch home and shear with family and friends
