Awesome to see this getting traction, nice league start guide. One of the best bossers in the game for a long time.

EDIT: If you want a bit of free damage in the endgame PoB, it's missing 10% conversion to cold. Change the benched +1 to AoE on gloves to 20-25% physical converted to cold damage. This will give you 4-5% more per hit and importantly more access to Brittle. You also want to grab the Trap mastery that allows you to put 5 additional traps on the ground. It doesn't improve your sheet dps but it will allow you to preload ~29% more damage on bosses up to a maximum of 22 traps. At 17 with 7 frenzy charges + Swift Assembly you run the risk of overthrow reducing your damage. The glove implicit for Unnerve on hit is worth a fair bit more than 8% trap throwing speed, another 6% damage give or take.

Tried league starting this in SSF and this feels awful, the first 3 acts were miserable even when you get pierce. Then entry to map if you dont luck out a 5L or 6L quick your damage is terrible and your clear is really awful even with lightning trap 4L cause it doesn't even scale off of your phys convert, only the single target is salvageable and even then, I've played mapper starters that killed bosses as fast as this does.
This build really feels like it should not be a starter and I kinda ruined my league start with it cause I hate leveling new dudes

I’m new to Poe been playing ssf on standard for a month or so. You make excellent build videos and guides. Some of the others I’ve looked at wanted me to pay, or didn’t have stages to follow so I didn’t even know what was going on. Thanks for putting in the effort .

I’ve never had a league start feel worse than on this build. It feels like I simultaneously can’t clear, never have mana, and am made of paper. Every piece of gear I have has the recommended mods plus some and yet I can barely get into yellow maps. There is something seriously wrong this build

Thank you so much Ziz. Trickster is the only ascendancy I have not played and I really wanted to give it a go this league. With the heatshiver nerfs I had no idea what to build into. This is perfect. You are the best!

The intro really showed that Zizaran is Norweigian. Add corpse paint and some black metal in the background and it's a perfect representation of what it's like in the minds of the nordics

I'm going to try leaguestarting Lightning Spire/Arc Traps, and if thay for some reason flops I'm falling back on Explosive Trap.

Edit: So I just read the list of changes they made, they actually made it so Trap Throwing Speed affects the frequency at which Lightning Spire Trap activates. This change is huge for overall dps.

What a delightful crossover. I normally play my trickster with ED and my traps with a saboteur. Will definitely give this a try.

They just announced Explosive Trap of Magnitude and Explosive Trap of Sharpnel transfigured gems. They look quite juicy at the first glance BABY!
