Would like to see a Canon retro A-1 WITH that manual split screen focusing - Such a joy to use.

If everyone is doing retro and Sony doesn’t use a Minolta body style for a camera I’m gonna be pissed 😂

That cut to Chelsea with the dual telephoto lenses almost made me do a spit-take

@7:40 the chapter says "Sony lenses LEAKED" but it should be Canon, not Sony.

I feel like the OM-1 was a huge innovation for M43, especially since the OM-1 Mark II is the best stills M43 body currently available. Plus, they introduced the absolutely bangin’ 90mm PRO f3.5 macro. So I have a lot of faith in OM Systems.

I still need a small Canon like the M6 II.

I really hope they make a battery grip for the new r7II, the only reason I didnt buy the R7 was the lack of battery grip. As a sport photographer i use to use the 7d Line as my 2nd and 3rd bodies just for the crop factor when I needed a little more reach.

With a Canon rangefinder you could hopefully fit the adapter for the old FD lenses. Nice.

The moment Canon Service decided to not even touch my 70D and 1Dx like the plague, I decided to jump ship after 30 years. Not even for a general inspection.

Tony I am sorry but I believe you are very wrong about the "DJI Ban". Just because the letters "DJI" are not present in the previously passed bill does not mean it is not still in place. Infact, I believe the net is now cast wider and FPV equipment is also being targeted. Still please read the bill and those reports detailing how bad the DJI vulnerabilities are. It's happening.

if the canon retro camera is full frame it'll def be a buy for me. I have a ton of vintage glass and I want a dedicated body I can use my vintage lenses on and sometimes I don't like pulling out my r5 in more "dangerous" places that I travel to

Hey sir,
Just asking, what would you prefer if it was a choice between the Canon EOS R1 + rf 200-800/100-500mmL+1.4x vs. Nikon Z8 + Z 800mm f6.3 pf lens? For mainly birds & wildlife shooter like you? What would you choose out of the 3?

Cheers, Methul.

That Canon needs to one up the Fuji m5 with a minimum 6K but with a viewfinder. The game changer would be to implement the viewfinder on top of the body and call it the A1-D

Fuji still can't keep the X100 in stock. Nikon ZF pretty popular. Fuji 50R rangefinder style is discontinued 3 years and slightly UP in value. *Retro is all the rage*

Actually, if Canon wanted to go "retro" I think they would look at the customer age group around 70 - 75 yrs old. They would have used the FTb and the A1 (that has been mentioned) on the larger SLR end, and maybe the "Canonet" range finders (non-interchangeable) on the smaller, more affordable end.

New Sony f8 sounds cool! I lost my fear of stopping down when i started using the 300 2.8 + 2x. Wish Sony could make f8 or f11 primes like the canon 600 & 800 f11s.

I hope this gives Nikon some motivation to make a modern digital rangefinder in the style of their film rangfinders from the 50's. I think they could leica M competitor for half the price if they could be bothered.
