Some product reviews on DigitalRev might be out date, but the cheap camera challenge was my favourite spot on DigitalRev. That creativity and improvisation was classic.

Kai on DigitalRev TV influenced my purchase of the X-Pro 1 back in 2012. I loved watching him, Lok, and Alamby.

DigitalRev is the reason I got into cameras. I even visited HK to visit some of the spots I remember them filming at. I still remember the very first video I saw from them was how to make motion lapse that they filmed in Central. Shame to see all that history just disappear (glad to see it was archived though, thanks to the person who saved all those videos)

I loved those old DigitalRev videos. Waving from The Bahamas 🇧🇸

DigitalRev is the reason I got into photography. After I bought a Canon 1100D (T2?) I binge watched DigitalRev. They're iconic and it's sad to see so many of those great videos deleted.

WOW that's a shame. DigitalRev is the godfather. The gear might be old but the content is timeless. You can still watch it and still enjoy it unlike most reviews these days where the shelf life is like a month or so lol Content doesn't hold up with time

DigitalrevTV was so much fun, so many memories... Because of Kai, I've fell in love with HK, street photography, cameras...
Honestly I wasn't watching the videos anymore, but knowing they're gone forever is heartbreaking.
Gone are the days of exciting videos and a glimpse of life lived to the fullest.

So sad about DigitalRev.
Could it have been the Bloody Producer's fault? 🤔

I bought my first camera lenses from Digital Rev in 2004 - a Canon 100-400L IS, 17-40L and 24-70L F2.8.
Those were the days !

I downloaded all Kai and Loks videos as they made them on digital rev Ive got them on my backup drives. The episode where kai tried to waste as much money as possible on a beach shoot was my favourite! Just the best photography youtube content ever! The other one ive got entirely is FPSRussia, all those mad fun firearms videos with no regard for personal safety

Glad you guys made a video about the videos being deleted! Was saddened when I couldn't find a video that I really wanted to watch again.

Kai and Lok also inspired me. To get into photography including a close friend of mine. Those videos will be missed as a piece of history.

RIP DigitalRev, their Youtube channel was like the Top Gear of the camera world. But I'm glad that Kai and Lok have continued to make excellent videos and we'll be able to see them having new adventures for a long time to come. Unfortunately, the nature of history is that most of it is lost in time.

I think Digial Rev was a huge part of a certain generation of photographers lives. Real shame it was deleted, but that's honestly the nature of any non-physical form of media including pictures. If you don't print your pictures, ssds/hdds won't stand the test of time like prints will. I think this will happen in 20-30 years with videogames because alot of videogames never get a physical releases and only get released on a single website/online game store. An argument I've heard is "don't worry about it the good stuff will survive". While that's sortof true, I think there's some good examples of stuff that was lost or almost lost that was very good. One example that's huge for me is 1927 Wings. That was almost lost but was thankfully re-descovered in the 90s. It is an amazingly groundbreaking movie and the fact we almost lost it is sad to me.

RIP DigitalRev. Was my main source of camera info back in the day. Was essentially only them, Gordon Lang and Camera Store that were good channels back then imho.

For a fovion sensor, doesnt a low megapixel sensor be preferable then? My uneducated intuition is that a larger pixel size would aid the process if the color detectors are stacked like this. Please correct me if my assumption is wrong

I just noticed this trying to watch some old DigitalRev videos a couple days ago. Glad they’re still somewhere online!

When I bought my FX3, the budget only allowed for 1 dope lens... I was mad that 24-105 f2.8 didn't exist, and it only came in an f4 variant. Kinda a disappointment and felt like I had "settled" for a 24-70 f 2.8! Glad to see manufacturers are filling that hole.
