I mean I use my 4070 super FE for 4k gaming and it works just fine. I rarely use dlss and get a comfortable 80-90 fps on high settings but when I do use dlss I get around 100 to 110 max.

I mean, to be fair, 4k 60fps is possible with 4070S raw performance and with tweaks can go around 90-120fps especially since majority of people don't mind lowering the game quality

4070 super also can be overclocked a fair bit with most companies loading it with a massive cooler

Yea its mid tier this generation but in reality, the vast vast majority of gamers are still using older, slower tech.

With that in mind id say its pretty high end.

Not everyone can afford high end pcs, so they stick with mid range pcs.
For me gaming in 1440p is great,
Its not like I don't wanna play in 4K, it's because I don't wanna spend that much money for a resolution upgrade and i'm happy with 1440p
For those who have low end pc, upgrading it with Rtx 3050 or any other entry level card is biggest upgrade on the other hand form some upgrading it to 4090 or up coming 5090 isn't enough.

I mean i feel like most people dont play competitive games at 1440p anyways. Id rather stick to my 1080p low to medium graphic presets and maintain high fps instead of legit trying to boil my gpu.. as someone who's went from a GTX 1070 to a entire new gaming rig with a 4070 super, its nowhere near just a "mid range" gpu and iv seen as high as 600+ fps in apex, over 700 with competitive settings in siege, as high as 200 fps in cyber punk and so on. ofc im not a pc building person so idk the exact details but id say thats pretty good to me, my personal opinion is that just because it cant run highest settings with extremely high fps on super high resolutions doesnt make it a "mid range gpu".
