Took one of my buddies 15/16" wrench and compared it to mines.
Snap On wrench at this time cost $54.75.
Blue Point wrench at this time cost $40.75 (Original Part number superceeded)
They're around the same production year, 1994 and 1995.
Dimensions are identical in length, width, height.
Same open head design.
Same angle box end.
Snap On is stamped on both sides, Blue point stamped on one.
Snap On is polished chrome, Blue point is more dull looking.
Blue point is 10 GRAMS more heavier than Snap On.
Is this worth $14 difference?

I’m sure blue point from china are still good, but if you want a good wrench from china I’d say get the Gearwrench. You can get a 44 piece set for 250 bucks that has sae and mm all the way up to 1.5 inches and 32mm. Side by side to my snap-on fd+ and it’s clear Gearwrench copied the snap-ons in size, length, and general characteristics. They don’t have the angled lead-in jaws like the snapons and Bp in the video. That tiny detail does help you get the wrench onto the fastener. The Gearwrench fit and finish is surprisingly good for the value.

Interesting! We have some bluepoint box wrenches in our shop that belonged to my grandfater in the 30s-40s. My Dad filled the set on out in th late 50s and 60s with identical Snap-on wrenches. On the other hand we have some identical recent Blue Point and Williams wrenches in one of the trucks that were probably made in taiwan. We have a variety of Snap-On combo sets from the 40s to the 1990s that all have that Snap-on look and feel. We have a current USA made Williams sets in the shop that is far heavier and shorter than another Supercombo set in one of the trucks. We have a metric set of Williams stamped Taiwan. Most aggravatingly we have a 1950s set of Snap On combos that have lost half their chrome (mobile tool box) and I have not been able to get them warranteed. They are good wrenches but we can't use tjem if they cut our fingers. The chrome on our old Proto wrenches is much tougher and that is what we are putting in field trucks now.

The USA Bluepoint shown in the video are some of my favorite wrenches. I like the feel over the snap on chrome. They used to be identical to snap on just with a satin finish. They don’t make them how they used to, now when I ruin one I buy a snapon replacement and make the bluepoint usa a special wrench.

Things have changed point at the time that wrench was made it was made in the William's plant....you know what's really crazy is that same time they were making kobalt tools and that same set you could get but with kobalt on them and kobalt ratchets at lowes looked just like the blue point as well

Those bluepoint wrenches are discontinued. The one you showed listed on the site is made in China, however very good quality. Just wouldn’t advice spending that kind of money for Chinese wrenches. Stick with Williams superwrench if you want us made snap on quality for a lower price

The used resale value is going to be more on the snap on then the blue point!! And that might be a good reason to spend the extra money for the snap on!!

I've had this argument in the shop before in regards to the weight snapon uses better steel so it can be lighter notice the dents in your blue point on the open end from hanging a cheater pipe. Yea snap-on wrenches don't do that I've used all kinds of wrenches from Pittsburgh tool shop craftsman S&K kobalt icon Matco and I haven't once regretted buying my snapons with the exception of when I lost my 15mm but if you only ever buy one snapon tool their screwdrivers piss all over everyone else's I can't even express how amazing they are they grip like their welded to the screw and don't even get me started on the handle you can generate so much fucking torque with them it renders those old school hand impacts obsolete they are truly incredible if you turn wrenches at all and find yourself with an extra 200 bucks and see a snapon truck run that mother fucker down and buy a set you will not regret it you'll probably even get back on here and thank me for enlightening you... I am not a spokesperson for snapon buy Ingersoll-rand air tools
