I miss when they added world drop exotics, I still remember getting One Eyed Mask from blind well

I miss this feeling, and I think everyone else does too. But it’s like Christmas as a child compared to Christmas as an adult….its like you don’t even care anymore.

The complete lack of world drop exotics is a dreadful mistake on Bungie's part. The chance of getting exotics from hard activites was the whole point in D1. Now exotics are so watered down and often times literally useless that most good legendary weapons are better.

This makes you realize bungie was idiots for trying to make every exotic be farmable or have a story quest to obtain it, there's no surprise anymore.

I remember getting Hawkmoon from a random Vanguard strike. I remember it well because after I told my friend he then went on and got Vanguard rep to like 300 and didn't get a single one until they eventually made it easier to get certain exotics and such

Destiny 2 has greatly improved on the shooter aspect but Destiny 1 was a way more exciting looter, if that makes sense

Suros Regime was my first exotic in D1 after I did a strike. My brother was just as hype as I was when I got it. Miss that

God this feeling is what I wish was brought back. Ever since Shadowkeep it just hasn’t been the same getting those exotics. The closest is getting a raid weapon nowadays.

Mine dropped in a quick play match, that I lost, and got last place. In late year 2.

I remember back in D1 after beating Atheon, got 2-exotic drop, a Vex and a Gally 😮& yes I captured it on video.

Theres no randomness in loot anymore, it just feels boring.

I wasn’t there during d1, so when I first found out about ice breaker in a d1 and d2 metas video (i forgot who did the video sorry), I thought “who thought this was a good idea”

Now after seeing the twid, I’m like “it can’t be……..THIS…….POWER!!!”

Because they balance the weapons now. It was insane how we all acted when we got it. 😅. About this time 10 years ago my ghallahorn dropped after an iron banner match. Then right after I played just a regular crucible death match game and the Hawk moon dropped.

Funny thing I’ve realised was D1 rewards players like a slot machine low probability to get exotics compared to D2 every second mission was an exotic drop from the minute it came out so the anticipation of getting any exotic felt amazing in D1 I dunno feel like them trying to make things easier also took away what made the first game so replayable (in saying that yes there are some of those instances in D2 but really only for raids that’s it)
