I Love your thinkings. Just a question because I use the d4 and d700. I have always wished you talked more about the d4 and d4s. But now you put them in a very high position. Please can't you do a Clip about them and perhaps compare them with d3 and d700 you Love very much? Greetings from Sweden!

I've seen a lot of your videos, and while I don't like your attacks on other members of the community you are right on a lot of the points in this video. I upgraded to the D5 from the D750. I had it pre-ordered and expected it to be what all the other flagship cameras from nikon have been the past 8 years or so. The best all arounder you could get, and the best at shooting sports. It's undeniable based on the tests, and actual photos (some by myself) that the loss of base ISO dynamic range puts this back to the levels of the D3s and if you need to push shadows at low ISO you won't be happy. It was disappointing to me for them to make such a drastic shift in their product line without bothering to TELL the people purchasing their camera what they had done. I wouldn't be so pissed if they had warned us in advance and let us make our own informed decision before it showed up at our house.

All of that aside, you are dead wrong about the AF speed. It's fast as hell. Both indoors and out. I've been shooting with it for several days and I really think you should give the AF speed another shot with a much better lens than that crappy 85mm you tried it with. Throw a 70-200 on there and you will see. Also, the 3D tracking is magnificent. It's the first camera where it's actually useable. Anyways, more videos like this, less attacks on members of the community and I'll keep coming back.

Ugh I hope they don't screw the pooch on the D810's successor, I love shooting ISO 64 on my D810

Nikon D810 with battery pack and a 24-70mm lens. That's all I ever walk around with. Amazing video and amazing crisp pictures. Was gonna sell it for the D5. But not anymore!!

Ken which is better in your opinion ? D4 or D4s and i haven't heard a thing about the D500 in a while, makes me wonder if it's worse.

I canceled my order on the D500 based on the review of the D5. I will buy grey market D750. Can you recommend an all around lens? I do mostly landscape and astrophotography.

Hi Ken, it's your Aussie mate here again. Just thought you'd like to know that here in the land of OZ the D4/D4s cost around $6500 still and the D5 goes for a ridiculous $8999. An absolute joke!

Your copy of the D5 may be defective. I get good performance at low ISO settings. Otherwise, maybe your firmware is outdated? I would contact Nikon Support for resolution.

While I don't disagree with your points because they are valid about the low ISO performance. How many videos are you going to do about the same topic? You've basically made the same video several times over a few days. At this point you're just sounding really whiny.

Guy's he's just a dude with an opinion that you might or might not agree with.

I've been shooting with the Nikon D5200 for last couple of years, great little APS-C camera. I'm in the prime for an upgrade, I'm not a brand loyalist but I had hopes on the Nikon D5 being my first pro grade camera. That being said my friend, do you think this could be because of the rumors that Nikon is no longer using Sony image sensors and infact moving away because of the strong competition from Sony Mirrorless?

the husband and wife team's video regarding d5 video quality shows nicely how horrific it is....just cover up the left side of the video

I appreciate the honest feedback and review but you really are too repetitive in the way you talk. You wasted 8mins to say things that could have only taken 2. Just saying
