The panic that starts to set in when your child is missing is awful. My adult son went missing with my car overnight. I was angry with him at first for taking my car. But then when he wasn't answering his phone I became worried. I called the police and they checked with other townships & the state police, and eventually found he had been in an accident and was in the hospital.

He ended up with a TBI, and lost some function but is able to walk and talk so he is fortunate.

I will never forget how I felt those few hours when he was lost to me, and I can't imagine how it must feel to the loved ones of these missing people to never know what happened.

I finally got to use one of Mike's catchphrases yesterday. I work with special needs adults and one of our more boisterous individuals was very agitated because she had ran out of notebook paper, and all I had to offer her was computer paper. I told her, "Listen, I hear ya barking big dog, but this is all I've got." lol

That Caleb dude is a hero. Unfortunately, he lost his life to become one. I really hope that after so many years, these families have found some hope of peace and closure over their loved ones.

Poor Caleb, I had to shed some tears at his story. What a strong, brave young man. I wish he didn’t go through his struggle alone.

Nicole's story is so creepy. I grew up in an apartment building complex similar to hers and as a child I hated having to go up and down those long halls. Once while roller skating in the parking lot a man called out to me and I swear I never skated so fast in my life. I used to deliver newspapers in those buildings and I remember having to go collect and hated certain "customers", grown men trying to lure a 12 yr old girl into their apartment. In the 70s we didn't really learn about SA and just knew to say no and run. I was in danger and didn't realize how much until I got older. It would've been so easy for someone to take her into an apt. How sad! How sad for all these families without answers, my heart goes out to them ❤

I lived at that apartment when Nicole was kidnapped. I was 13 my brother was 3. It was the end of an era where all the kids roamed free on the massive property. The police came and searched each flat looking inside washer/ dryers and freezers. That terrified me, it made it so real.

Losing your child and never having answers to what happened to them has to be the absolute worst nightmare for a parent… a limbo you never escape. 💔

I have a love/ hate relationship with these stories. Disappearing without a trace is definitely interesting and I love hearing about the cases but I just can't stand unsolved mysteries. They drive me nuts.

Maaan, imagine feeling great about getting out of your Fazoli’s job and starting a career in something you’re good at and enjoy just to be vanished from earth. Cruel.

Thank you for talking about Marilyn Bergeron, Mike ! I am from Quebec City where it happened and this case has been haunting me for years. If the Ontario witness says the truth, and looking at how she changed her appearance, I always had the feeling that she was caught in a sex trafficking ring. Bad people wanted to punish her for knowing too much, maybe for protecting a friend ? She barely disclosed anything to those she loved the most but it feels like she was truly scared for her life. The lack of clues in this case still baffles me to this day. I have a lot of empathy for her family and I hope that they will find Marilyn someday.

Me and my girlfriend always used to watch That Chapter together, we loved all the true crime stories. She used to love it because she thought it was nice that Mike always said “love ya” at the end of videos and it made her happy. She broke up with me a few weeks ago. I still love her and I would never wish anything bad about her.

I hope she’s happy and enjoying life. I hope she’s never sad again. Now these videos make me sad because they remind me of better times, but I can’t help but watch them because they’re so good.

I feel quite alone.

It's crazy how often people vanish in public places. The odds that no one saw anything are practically zero, but if it doesn't look suspicious, people don't notice or forget. Plus, eyewitness testimony is notoriously unreliable. So people could have seen something but got the details wrong.

Did the Nicole Morin story kind of remind anyone of The Lovely Bones? The fact that it was probably a neighbor or someone nearby who had probably been watching her for the perfect opportunity. So sad and scary how she just disappeared..

That last it's unbelievable they can't convict that sick bastard for Caleb's disappearance and murder.

I know it doesn't help their loss but Caleb's family should be damn proud of their son. He was trying to save others from experiencing the same thing. RIP, Caleb, a true unknown hero.
