I was born in Seattle in 1973, where I grew up. Sonics and Blazers fan. Japanese-American, too. From my birth year, you can see why my age demographic loved things about those Hornets: That teal blue was a great color, for a new team, around the late 1980s. And, we grew up knowing North Carolina and NC State were great teams (then of course Duke started making its mark), so it was only fitting, that the state of North Carolina got a team. I loved Kendall Gill, as I bought into the early hype, that he was "a budding Michael Jordan."

Was the summer of 92 . I was only 8 yrs old. And upon walking out of Walmart, I saw a pack of 92-93 NBA Fleer Ultra, The pack was opened, but all the cards were there. I found a Larry Johnson Award winning card . The colors and the Hornets Logo had me hooked instantly. I would be asking for Charlotte Hornets clothing and hat. And life felt great . Then, a couple of years later receiving the Hornets Starter jacket. The 90s Hornets were awesome. I just wished Jordan could have taken them to the top after becoming the owner. 😢
