I agree that gap closers don't need damage, it's stupid and having to insert them into burst windows for extra DPS is cringe and can easily fuck up mechanics if you hit your buttons braindead.
But I have to say that getting rid of one of Squall's most iconic moves Rough Divide, was such a punch in the gut for me as an extremely big FF8 fan, GNB has all of these skills that are inspired by his moves, such as his final Limit Break Lionheart, but they got rid of the Limit Break move you see the most and replaced it with a boring ass slide forward animation. This to me was so unnecessary and actual downgrade.

TBN was great in SB/ShB...the fact that they haven't upgraded it yet is insane. Like just a crumb of upgrade would make a world of difference for DRK.

Old Plunge was better because the animation was a flip, as opposed to the quickstep we have now.

I also remember a time in ARR when I mained Warrior Lv50 and everyone picked Paladin’s over Warrior because WAR had little to no mitigation, and this was early during Titan Extreme and Coil of Bahamut turn 1-5.

the Blood weapon component of Delirium being only 3 hits shouldn't even be effected by the Torcleaver combo. it's 2 separated effects that are granted by Delirium. they could make the BW part last for 10 hits if they wanted without needing to touch on the Delirium part.
and with that said it's easily fixable if they actually want to.

If DRKs theme is "Sacrifice" I think some options for changes could be: TBN can be eaten any time for a heal of equal potency 2 charges no longer tied to mp, Missionary is level 64, Salted earth heals you when standing in it like PVP, Abyssal Drain not connected to carve and spit and cooldown shortens with use of edge or flood of shadow, oblation restores some mp when hit. None of this crap is very complicated.

I really liked this guys video, watching here again, I am actually glad to see someone that plays the game and do content and stuff, getting data and overall proof about how the job is performing, and not only talking about "think" and "feeling", pretty solid video.

Just need to give each Delirium combo an aditional 200mp per GCD to bring it back to same regen.

When they combined blood weapon and delirium I was like "oh 3 stacks only? They'll give 1000 mp each right to match the previous blood weapon gain.. right?"

The job changes across the board for Dawntrail has been lazy. Most jobs didn't change at all, they just got 1 new button to press in their rotation. The rest were potency adjustments and QoL changes.

you mentioned paladins needing to cast stone skin on themselves as mit but didnt mention that the cast would commonly get interrupted by a light breeze damaging you.

One thing I wish was vocalised more is that it literally does not matter if a class has another classes ability but better. What matters is how all the buttons interact together and with the fights, not comparing them to other classes.
