Thank you for your post, Dr. Wright. I appreciate your updated information. I’m a trainer (50 years old) and I’m so glad someone is finally speaking up about focusing on strength training over being “skinny”. The focus on skinny alone has completely messed with so many of my clients. They are emotionally tied to the scale. Their moods go up or down depending on what the scale says. Half the battle isn’t getting them to exercise, it’s changing their relationship with the scale. I say, “Change your focus, change your life!”

Taking Boron and magnesium as a supplement was a game changer for me in helping my bones and tendons. ❤❤❤

Fantastic info, thank you 😍. I really needed to look at my hormones in my mid 30s when I had those frozen shoulders and hips. But at least I'm doing it now in my 50s, and the information coming from you amazing doctors is so much help. Just need to get the message out to many other doctors 💛xx

Thank you for this important information! I've been doing cardiovascular exercise and strength training for decades, and this has provided many health benefits. Using hormone therapy significantly reduced the symptoms I was having at and after menopause.

Hi! Will inflammation markers from a blood test show the tissue inflammation you are referring to?

I’m in so much pain, when I lift heavy weights my tendons can’t recover. Most of my pain is tendon burning. Does anyone have ideas about this?

Thank you for your work! Question: At the time I developed frozen shoulder, and insomnia (around 50-51), I also developed major neck pain that radiates to my head. Thinking I might have a brain tumor I did an MRI which revealed cervical spondylosis or arthritis. Could this be all caused by low estrogen? I eat an anti-inflammatory diet, never drank or smoked, and do moderate exercise.

I found your page on recommendation from another woman. This is interesting, but I feel completely excluded from the conversation. Many people who live with me/cfs cannot exercise at all. The majority of patients with me/cfs are women. It's frustrating seeing and hearing so much information that emphasizes exercise without consideration to women for whom this isn't possible. Sadly, there will be more women in the me/cfs category over time (as people get multiple infections with SARS C2 = long covid and/or potentially me/cfs as a dual diagnosis). There is such a knowledge gap in the medical world about these conditions, for which rigorous exercise (even lifting something) is clinically contraindicated. I guess that's all I wanted to say as a 56 year old trying to DIY "HRT" and unable to exercise. Luckily I can lift my cat up (still) most of the time. But, for many with me/cfs even a cat is too heavy. Thank you, Vonda, for reading my comment, and thank you for taking the time to make an interesting and in-depth video on hormones affecting the musculoskeletal system.
