How To Repair A Nintendo Switch That Gets Wet!

My Nintendo Switch recently fell in the toilet. After letting the device dry out over a few days I attempted to turn on the Nintendo Switch. Unfortunately, nothing worked; the Switch was showing a black screen. I immediately went online in search for a new Switch and discovered they are very hard to find in stock. Fortunately, I decided to give this a try. Not only did this work but it also saved me a bundle of money.

This seems to be a common issue. A Nintendo Switch falling into a toilet, bath, sink or maybe it was washed. The Switch no longer turns on. The Switch just shows a black screen. There's no sound. One option is to send the Switch to Nintendo for repair. Another option is purchasing a new or used Switch. However, simply replacing the battery may solve the problem.

This video was a lifesaver, I spilled water on my Nintendo switch Lite and then wiped it off. Maybe 10 minutes later I was watching YouTube and my entire console froze. I was pressing every button including the power button but nothing worked. Eventually the screen turned off but it was blowing slightly White. I didn't know what to do but after seeing this video I decided to try pressing and holding in the power button for like 30 seconds and it turned it back on and it's working fine now. I would have never thought to do that without seeing this video.

Yesterday, my water spilled in my lunchbox, which had my Switch in it. Approximately a minute after a short work huddle, I went to the bathroom to dry it and my joy cons and dumped the water in the sink. After work, I immediately bought the new battery and tool set and put the Switch in the carrying case (don't know why I'd put it in the case other than the fact I felt the need to air dry my joy con controller). Today, I'm letting the Switch air dry properly and turned on my fan for extra help. I also watched another video today showing that rice also helps, but will your video still help me?

You have to check the wifi too on these situations. Have an OLED that suffered a spill. After some drying and charging it finally turned on but can't play any games because it wants to check if I own them over the internet.

dropped my switch in water and it was completely submerged but it turned on and still works somehow i think it was because of the case i had it in

I think mines screwed
I dropped it in the toilet with my SD chip in it and when I tried charging it it didn’t even show the charging icon
I’ve spent so much money on that thing all my accounts are on there none of them I remember. I hate everything

Mine fell off the edge and into a big gulp cup with about 1/4 of an inch of lemonade. Only one end got wet. (The end with the SD card). I powered it off and removed the controls, the game card and the SD card. I wiped the outside down with a disinfectant wipe. I tried tapping the control that got wet to knock out any moisture that I could. I guess I will let it dry out for a few days and see if I have any luck. I hope I am not screwed. I paid, (like all of us) a lot of money for this. I bought the Zelda skin. 😩😩😭😭😫😫.
I am HOPING I didn't kill my SWITCH.

My switch repaired itself i waited ten months after water spilled on it and the battery just powered on again it's still worked on the t v for those ten months
