This Week in MXA, episode 207, presented by O'Neal, is all about the pre-season Supercross press conferences happening this week in Angel Stadium. Mike Muye, Director of Operations for FELD Entertainment, fielded questions from the media about the new nine-whoop protocol for the 2024 season, and he answered MXA's Josh Mosiman's questions about electric bikes coming into Supercross and about making tough blocks safer for the riders. Whoops are a skill separator. My vote is more whoops sections. and 10-12 sections will separate the men from the boys

My recommendation would be 'Learn from your mistakes' (eg 4stroke shenanigans that displaced 2strokes)... so add a 'Run What You Brung' Open Class. eMotos, 4-Strokes, Big Bore 2-Strokes at select events and see how it goes.

As some of us locally have already experienced...the e bike being so quiet makes it a sketchy deal.
With ICE bikes making sounds of awareness, the e bike is silent. Even other e bikes can't hear the other e bikes among the ICE bikes.
The margins of racing and just practice riding has to be widened IF you know an e bike is even around.

nope. For the cost of SX tickets, I'd rather see riders get more track time on ICE machines by bringing back semi's. Once there are more E offerings maybe run their own class.

They have so many other classes... for every age range, experience level & CC... why can't they just add some additional E-classes instead of ruining the sport. You could literally have a 2nd day dedicated to E bikes & attract a whole new audience, additional sponsors, etc. Most of us former 2-strokers won't be going all the way left to electric.

Better designate a spot for it to burn for a day or 2 when the battery catches fire. Flooded Teslas were catching fire in flooded garages in Florida from the hurricanes and burning the whole damn house down from the water line up !
