I’m dental hygienist and when a patient came in saying no fluoride for my child I was like I know what you mean no problem. I never tried to sell parents in it. It’s toxic

I decided to give up fluoride and my first purchase was Jason natural toothpaste. This was back when you could only get it at supplement stores. The woman at the register said something I’ll never forget: “Oh, this is a great toothpaste! It has enzymes that help prevent cavities!”. And sure enough, my dental issues were a whole lot less after switching.

So why do they put fluoride in our water and toothpaste?

We don’t use fluoride, but always get the side eye from doctors and dentists…

I stop using fluoride toothpaste a couple of months ago and replace it with a natural one and most important I change my diet, no sugar and processed foods.

I used sensitive toothpaste for my extremely sensitive teeth for decades. As soon as I switched to a non fluoride one the sensitivity went away in one day, unbelievable. I don’t know what garbage they put in normal toothpaste but I will never use it again.

I love this message as my dentist is always insisting that I use a fluoride toothpaste but I refuse. Anyway, one thing I would have liked to have heard is toothpastes that you use yourself or would recommend. Anyway, thanks for the informative video! You confirmed to me what I have always thought but dentists told me I was wrong believing. Now if we can just remove it from our drinking water.

I know someone who has already had root canals at age 17. They've tried to do all the holistic things -- oil pulling, fluoride free tooth paste, hydroxyapatite powder all for the last year or so... now the root canals are failing and the tooth decay is getting so bad that they're having to just remove the teeth completely. Mind you they're only 29. Doesn't drink. Doesn't smoke (some dentists don't believe). Eats organic, and a mostly paleo diet. What on earth could they do?

Myrhh is great for gums and teeth. I started using fluoride free and sodium lauryl sulfate free toothpaste last year because it burns my mouth. No wonder I hated brushing my teeth as a kid. Thanks for the video Dr Axe 🌞

My daughter can’t use fluoride at all. She has epilepsy and it triggers seizures.

There was a study that was conducted and they had two sets of rats. One was given soda so was able to pass across the teeth and the other group was given through a feeding tube where the where the soda went right into the bellies of the rats and did not pass over the teeth. The rats with the bellies full of soda actually ended up with more cavities than the other rats, because your teeth are living and breathing parts of your body they're not just dead bone. And whatever you put in ultimately can come out of your teeth through almost like sweat. Sugar is very acidic and keeping your body alkaline is very important and making your own toothpaste is hands down the best way to go

So what do you suggest for brittle teeth from vomiting. I've suffered with gastroperisis and cyclic vomiting syndrome for over 12 years. My teeth are literally falling apart. I just half of a molar break off on Friday. That's happened quite a few times. I am now missing 3 teeth and have little peices off of many teeth. I have the vomiting under control now. My dentist suggests fluoride treatments

I left fluoride toothpaste a few years ago to protect my
thyroid because my TSH was going up. Instead, I used toothpaste with Neem and Biociden toothpaste and mouthwash because of gum Issues. I tried oil pulling with coconut. Still
my gums and cavities were getting from bad to worse. I had to switch back to fluoride because i didn’t know
what to do. What do you
Suggest?
In case Dr Axe doesn’t answer did anyone out there
had my same experience
and found a solution to this
problem?
