This is a function vs form situation. DJI is significantly smaller, which might fit peoples needs, but the Hero10 has the actual better footage and image capability. I think heat issues aside, the Hero 10 is best for me, for my applications. I want the absolute best resolution and the size is really not an issue as I don’t plan to capitalize on DJI’s size for anything. It’s fantastic that we have two brand new products competing with one another because the consumer wins. I just wish DJI made a second more updated version of Action 1 and this small modular Action 2 could have been called something different; similar to what GoPro did with the session.

both are excellent cameras the DJI in 4K 120FPS has very natural colors and excellent stabilization, but I go for the GH10, because of the interchangeable batteries and because it is completely waterproof

These two action cameras are very close competitors! I believe that the DJI action 2 has overall better performance than the GoPro Hero 10. Great Video! 👍

Hero definitely had it in the dynamic range department. An interesting comparison would be the session 5 vs action 2, of course spec wise the newer one is more capable

Good comparison , Alex. Sound is definitely better on the action 2 . But your right about the video quality, both are very similar.

GOPRO 10 is awesome, but I prefer DJI ACTION 2 microphone quality, so much better !

There's not a lot to choose between them. In particular I can't see any obvious advantage in 5.3K video in this test at least. For a full test of audio I'd suggest a busy city street would be more revealing of sound quality. The Action 2 seems to have the same system as the Pocket 2 in this respect and the Pocket 2 audio is excellent.

That's blue flare from sunshine from Hero 10 is unforgivable, but also I'm not getting Action 2 either as its small factor brings overheating problems so will stick to osmo action 1

For me it is the DJi Action 2. It’s small, lite weight, you can wear it on your head or neck without too noticeable by the public. My arm will not be tire when I’m doing vlogging walking in the trails. 70 minutes of 1080p is good enough for hiking video

Would you recommend the action 2? I cant decide. Im hoping that the image quality is like the pocket 2

With the reported over heating issues of the DJI it would have been good to see a temp difference between the two during the comparison tests, in conclusion I have the Action 1 with a few accessories so from what I can see the difference isn't enough yet to upgrade. I use it extensively 4K 30fps as a land camera leading in to my aerials. Great job with the comparison! Tony from Australia

Both are wonderful. Osmo's modularity makes it different but not better. I'm a fan of DJI and I have a lot of DJI equipment, such as drones (2) Osmo mobile 2 and 4 and Osmo Action 1. However, as the Gopro 10 was released first, it's already costing well below the launch price, while the newly launched Osmo is still at full price. In that case I would buy Gopro Hero 10.

I’m pretty sure one has rocksteady and the other HyperSmooth. On your video caption both have RockSteady. Hehehe

I would say the A2 wins this battle for quality of video footage. As far as ease of use and workflow I would have to give it to the GoPro. I don't know how over at DJI thought that the A2 not having a removable sd card slot on the main unit was thinking but it really slows down workflow. That being said I love the colors coming out of the unit. It really creates competition in the DOMINATED market.

Apples to apples, in 4K GoPro is clearer and it's not even that close, but DJI colors are more natural.

I still think for flying my 5" the Session 5 has the best sounding microphone. I wish I could get the size and weight and fov of the Action 2 with the colour of the Hero 10 and the microphone of the Session 5. 😄

Gopro is better with white balance and colour tones. Also better with sound.
