good test. basically, garbage vs trash. pick your choice. lol. these cameras are definitely not meant for any low light. dji pocket would do better. i have the dji pocket and dji osmo action 1 and i always use the dji pocket in low light, way better. i might get the action 2 because of versatility.

Thanks for that comparison. Yes DJI Action 2 is better, thus also better than Action 1, but for sure not perfect. But I think this is the step up which I'm looking for...the Action 1 is very sensitive against a little bit low light conditions...bye the way if the camera battery is empty and you connect the battery or screen module, you can start the recording immediately? I have an action 2 and when I shoot at night or any dark areas, I get so much noise it's just ridiculous. Howcome yours has no noise? My settings is 1080p60 horizon steady

Great comparison, no one was talking about it. Can you also compare GO 2 vs Action 2? I think is the killer comparison and would like to see if Action 2 can be as convenient and easy to use as GO 2

Good Video Alex. Anyway after 800 ISO these cameras are unusable due to single small sensor size compared to an iPhone with 3 cameras with different appeture lens.

This looks good. And thanks for doing it. But a friend who bought this Dji said don’t get it, it’s too hot. Temperature meaning, metal casing ? Dangerous. I know the Hero does but outer casing not so bad…

i think the sony fdr-x3000 is the best for low light and night time. but i do like to use my go pro for them nice sunny days over the sony.

Hey Alex,

Looks like DJI is implementing Rock Steady digital stabilization as GP is doing with Hypersmooth. That means it needs lots of lights and shutter speed needs to be cranked up for it to work and not suffer IQ.

Please try using both with 180deg shutter rule and shoot with a gimbal and stabilization off. It will do better. You won’t have as much noise in the image and add an external small light like the Ulanzi VL49 for about $20.

I was hoping that A2 had an f1.8 aperture like the P2 brother, but that might have cannibalized that product.

The sweet spot for lowlight seems to be f1.8 aperture and 1” sensor like the ZV-1 which handles lowlight well.
