The crazy reason Final fantasy XV (PC) was crashing and how I fixed it - When Games Crash

I attempted to play Final fantasy XV Windows Edition, I was excited, then it crashed as soon as I opened it. After 3 hours troubleshooting, I found the WEIRD reason for it. I hope this helps someone.

I payed about 40 dollars for this game on steam it won't even load why doesn't steam fix this so people don't have to do all this extra crap and possibly putting viruses on their computer it says server isn't reachable ti check my internet but its fine

For everyone who's here and has an RTX card: Check if you have DLSS enabled. My game was crashing every 5 minutes when i had it turned on. Better run it on a lower resolution or lower settings than not at all.

Mine loads but as soon as i move with Noctus it crashes.

game was working fine for about 3 hours then decided not to work anymore about 3 hours of trying to get it to work found this video, proceeded to plug in a ps4 controller and just magically started working fine

the game keeps crashing for me at chapter 15 boss fight after you take elevator you fight the one who throws shuriken at you, when I almost beat this king, the game crashes, tried it 3 times..

I had it worse my game crashed my entire pc and even disabled my gfx card after i reenabled my gfx card i was able to load up the game but when i load the autosave it crashed my pc again

everytime when i sleep and it shows the photos prompto has taken and everytime i go there it crashes and it didnt save the damn progress so fuck this game

It works at least for me. (Spanish) Muchas gracias, yo tenia este problema pero sucedía cuando cerraba el juego o cuando cambiaba el modo de pantalla completa a ventana y me de daba un crash, pero ahora ya no, conecte mi control de PS4 v2 y se terminaron mis problemas.

mine is super weird it loads and runs perfectly smooth in the prologue but then as soon as it loads into chapter one it just crashes just goes black screen and poof back to
my desktop i couldn't fix it at all, i tried all things

my PC is a 7700X not OC, with an RTX4070 also not OC and my RAM is instead of 6500mhz clocked to 6000mhz bc my CPU can't handle higher RAM speed, so i really dunno what is causing it to crash on my PC so i refunded it on Steam

Tentei de tudo, até esse do controle. Mas sabe o que deu certo no meu? deixar a taxa de FPS em 30... todo resto não funcionou. Jogando com gráficos no máximo, mas com a taxa em 30 fps e sem Vsync.... vai entender esse jogo, port mal feito.
