Scam Trading Robots 2021 - Which ones are cheating Forex backtests?

Today we are going to look for scam trading robots in the Metatrader marketplace. There are some trading robots where the author has deliberated hardcoded in dates for the trading robot to avoid trading thereby artificially manipulating the backtest results and producing a fake backtest. We use Tick Data Suite which has now has a history shift for Metatrader.

I guess this video should be updated by applying Symbol shifting also? Redshift has shown a manipulation when shifting the symbol and was losing hard.. i stopped it even though I bought it with Blueshift

Good video. The other problem is that the Author of Aura Gold sells the EA cheaper if you email him directly. It’s therefore impossible to write a review or complain to MQL5

I do this as well using my own apps, but I also shift prices and change symbols. Reindeer scalper is good, but when you rename EURUSD to GBPUSD, it becomes unprofitable. I don't know if the EA has specific settings for each currency pair, but making EURUSD into GBPUSD will cause it to be different and cause bad results. Aura gold I suspect is retro fitted - he always release new versions that make the backtest good. You should also note, Ice Forex which is by the same author is a scam when shifting backtests. Try it and you will see.

About complaining, to be honest, if you complain, mql5 will probably ban you because they get a commission from these EA's. Seems they would rather profits than give customers a genuine EA. I heard stories of people being banned because they publicly shamed the EA's. MQL5 should really do a code review of the EA's before allowing them onto the market.

Hiya mate, is there anyway we can have a chat? I think I have some information that you NEED to know while checking backtest results.. and in most cases will turn a working history shifted EA into a losing EA once applied to live markets.

This is information i have learnt from my own experience trading EA's on live accounts and the speed bumps I have hit along the way. I know some of the tips are not widely known as I have never found any of the tips online ever.
