On the bench....look into painting it with chalk paint and waxing over it. Very soft and beautiful on old pieces and even covers spots like that. You'd love it so much more too. Nice tour!!! Beautiful job!

You mentioned that the curtains were too short and you thought you would have to buy new ones. The same thing happened to me and the best way to correct the problem is to let the hem out and then set up the ironing board and press the crease out with an iron. You can use liquid stitch if you need to hem the curtains. You will be so happy with the results!

OMG Christine!!! I love your rustic glam home!!! When you talked about the gold smudge paint, thats literally what im going to do with my chandelier in m y kitchen. I so glad you gave me the idea!! I have that same way decor piece that you found at your local furniture store, i got it from home goods. I love the look of all 4 but i took my 1 and adhered it to a round glammy mirror with gold trim. I love the look of it.
