in this quick update you will see some really big news for After Effects!
After all those years we are now able to import 3D objects, such as OBJ and GLB with textures!!
Before that was only able with plugins such as Video Copilot Element3D, but now this works native in after effects.
You can add a camera, lights and as many different 3d objects that will interact in 3D space.
With the new Mercury Render Engine, you can almost work in real time and if you choose a draft render setting, you are super fast!

Hello, I just updated the program to the new version that already supports 3D but when I place a GLB file what it previews is a message that says: 3D model for use with tradcode.
Do you know anything about why?

when i import my obj into after effects beta, it looks different the color don t appear the same and all pixelised yet when i open it at the same scale on photoshop it looks good, have you experienced this before ?

​After Effects 24.1 (official release) now supports 3D models natively. It was released today.
