Hey buddy 😃 nice to see you're back! Remember me discussing with you in the comments about the G9ii? Well after shooting on the GH5 for 7 years I finally upgraded to the GH7 and I must say it feels like a breath of fresh air especially for the autofocus and the real good in body stabilisation. So when the GH7 arrived, I made several comparison test GH7 vs GH5 to see how much that M43 camera has improved. Using it now since the mid of July intensive the GH7 surprised me with some bugs here and there which I already covered in my videos by now. Now I have this camera and I just wan't to have fun with it. I'm done with the test, I know what I've got. But to be honest next time I might go with FF. In some situation I miss that shallower depth of field personally in scenarios where I'm far away from the camera where you see the whole body and still having a bit of a background blur. That's all what I'm missing a little bit at the moment. Thanks for the video man 🔥

One thing that almost no one gets right, that comparing sensor size you need to apply the crop factor not only to the focal length but also to the f-stop to achieve the same result. That's said on ff you would need to close the aperture and raise the ISO by two stops when you want to maintain the same shutter speed, with the end result that even the noise levels end up being more or less the same. There is just no way around physics. In the end sensor size is not that important type of factor that everyone makes it out to be. Actually I would say it's a non factor, everting else is probably more important.😅

Good arguments about the price of the GH7. This camera came late as you said the market moved on. Problem for m43 manufacturers is that the price of Full Frame has dropped and asked features like PDAF, 4k60p and IBIs can be found in all manufacturers.

Good to hear someone emphasising the content over the 'look' of the footage.

As a huge lumix fan, I appreciate your perspective. I currently own the Gh4, Gh5, S5, S5iix and Gh7. And the S5iix for me offers everything I need and the low light is pretty solid.

option to turn off noise reduction to 0 is the best feature in lumix cameras even for 10bit HEVC codec.
On sony the denoise is baked in no matter what unless you buy a Atomos recorder to record external RAW via HDMI on FX3 like camera.

GoPro 11/12/13: 8:7 aspect ratio sensor. I wish MFF would get a 1:1 aspect ratio sensor. Would be a killer.

Full frame is better in low light. Mickey Four Thirds is only amazing in low light for stills now and you have to shoot raw and use DXO PureRaw if you are using 12-bit raw. The OM Systems OM-1ii is very good in low light now with 14-bit raw.

Unless there is a good raw cleaners for raw video is going to a while for Mickey Four Thirds to be amazing in low light.

When I'm just using Lightroom and the basic noise reduction I'll only go as high as 3, 200 with my Olympus OMD E-M1ii.

So it's going to be maybe a few more years for Mickey Four Thirds to catch up to how much you can push stills.

Stills are always ahead of video because you need so much more CPU power for video.
