Ethic of Care

This animated video illustrates the challenge of trying to demonstrate care towards another person without understanding what they actually need. In counselling, the concepts of an ethic of care is synthesized in the following the question: What is helpful, from the client’s perspective, as I engage with this particular person, facing these specific contextualized challenges, and taking into account their preferences, cultural identities, social location, values, and worldview?
