In high school I was taught that Philosophy is the field of study that focuses on asking the most important questions about the world and our existence, something along those lines.

So much philosophy is in fact an attempt to create new perspectives without consideration for best practices. We need better mechanisms of accountability in the acedemic world these days. I really like your analysis of many topics.

Philosophy comes from the root words "phil-" and "soph-".

Phil means "love"
Soph means "wisdom"

So one can make an argument that the definition of philosophy is "the love of wisdom/knowledge"

Schopenhauer and Feurerbach would have denied that Plantinga is a philosopher, because he abuses reasoning to get at a preconceived conclusion. Philosophers do not do so. This is the typical way of the theologian.

Thinking hard doesn't lead someone to care about people. Philosophy accounts for nothing in the concrete world. Get back to us when you have something that exists somewhere other than in your mind.
