Amazon delivery is the worst job you will likely ever have and if you drive there and dont think so.... wait til you get a route with 190 stops and 3 different apartment complexes and none of them have a locker. Door to door every delivery. Ever hauled 150lbs of dog food up to the 3rd floor for one stop of almost 200? I have.

Walked off the job when they gave me that route for the 3rd time.

Jake, be a Truck driver man, you love to travel, you’ll live in a decent size semi and you’ll get paid to travel, and you can blog the journey 🙏

WOW ! I had 70 stops and 175 deliveries, same thing everyday for 10 years with the Post Office. Just about destroyed my body. Made retirement though. Keep it up McCloud, you are the right path.

I did Amazon delivery in the big vans as well for about a month and I didn’t like it much either. Then about 6-8 months later I did amazon delivery with my own car and that is called Amazon Flex. You should give that a try because you work by whatever hour shift you choose to work and each shift has the amount of money you will be getting for that shift even if you get done before those hours are up. I think you would like that a lot better since you can essentially work on your time.

this had so much good info in it. I’ve always been curious about what a day in the life of an Amazon driver looks like. I think the most frustrating thing with any job is a lack of communication when it comes to what you’re suppose to be doing. Even if you had the correct info 80% of the time, that 20% of apps messing up, no apt numbers, etc would stress me tf out. I hope you find a less stressful job soon. Also, loving the new name!!

By far the most detailed video of what drivers have to go through. Thank you for sharing this.

So I recently met a dude from Tennessee that moved to here in Austin Texas. He usually makes that amount of money doing food deliveries with about 10 hours renting a city electric bicycle. Saturday he made over $200.

I’ve been doing Amazon flex as an independent contractor here in the bay it’s way more chill. Drive your own car. Max packages I’ve gotten is 50 and the blocks of time is only 4 hrs just not as consistent with scheduling but you can be doing your other driving jobs while waiting g for a route pay ranges from 20-$25 an hr

It’s a decent paying job if you had a apartment to live in but living in a car it’s a bit difficult because you can’t really relax, unwind, shower and eat comfortably in a car just because the job can wear you out every day.

The video camera in the vehicle made my mind up real quick😂
I drove class A trucks for 20+ years and there is no way in hell I would put up with that. After shoulder replacement surgery, I’m not able to perform the duties of a CDL driver so I was considering this. I watched the whole video anyway just so I can see the chaos that your typical Amazon driver goes through.😂

Some people really like to keep going during work and don't stop. It's a perfect job for those type of people

Underrated jobs nobody knows about or wants for young people are CNC machining, take a little 6 month trade school, in no time you are setting up, complex machines making parts, wages have gone up now, if you get good at just basic setting up in few years you sre making 25-30$ an hour plus ton of overtime, I pull 100k doing this a certificate that i paid 4000$ in 2009.

I’ve been watching Alex the Truck driver’s youtube channel. He came across my recommended a month or so ago, and I got hooked. He’s around Jake’s age. I have a new respect this type of job.

I also worked for a DSP, but all their routes where in Uptown Dallas. Super hard cause it was all apartments. Just quit yesterday 120 stops 389 packages and none of the access codes worked.
