Full Disclosure Network(R) presents a 12 minute video news blog featuring Paul Orfanedes of Judicial Watch who explains a Superior Court Judge Terry A. Green allowed the ACLU to intervene but blocked them from demanding legal fees from the plaintiff. ACLU petitioned the court represent unlicensed illegal alien drivers. At issue is LAPD's Special Order 7 that would prevent police officers from impounding the cars of illegals driving without a license. and in the case Sturgeon v City of Los Angeles ,contends that the City does not have the authority to enact Special Order 7 to prevent police from impounding the cars of illegal drivers. According saying that State Law requires that all traffic laws be uniform througthout the state to avoid confusion where block to block the differing traffic rules from one city to another.Orfanedes argued that the ACLU's action to collect legal fees would have a chilling effect on the First Amendment, an ironic position for the ACLU who has long been a defender of First Amerndment Rights. At the end of the video viewers are asked to participate in a survey regarding the policy and the ACLU attempt to collect legal fees from a citizen challenging the Supercial Order 7.

1) State law encourages citizens to file lawsuits against unfair govmernment policies. In this case the ACLU was asking to intervene so that citizens would be forced to pay their legal fees? do you think this would deter citizens from challenging unfair laws?

2) Do you think that we need laws that protect special classes for people rather than equal protection for all? Yes or No

3) The ACLU has always been an advocate for the First Amendment and free speech do you think there actions here will diminish their credibility? Yes or No

PS, If they come back they should spent the rest of their life in a US work camp. That would be justice.

The only possible relationship to being an unsafe driver, is when those that are really afraid of the consequences flee the blue and red lights. The policy is the problem.

Yes I've paid an impound fee, after my van was stolen and a week later I was finally notified that they had it in their possession before I knew it was missing. The jerks that took it left it at the border. So I had a weeks worth of impound fees when there should have been no time in the impound yard. What good are the cops. If I had another vehicle, the border would have been my first place to look for it. If you have not heard, look up the file name "When Should You Shoot A Cop" a nice thread.

Actual an unlicensed driver is a safer driver, why, cause they follow the traffic laws to a T as to not attract attention to law enforcement. An licensed driver takes unnecessary chances, speeds ect.
