The pilot is not overwhelmed. That's a pretty standard and expected sequence of instructions. The delivery was high speed mush.

With me never being able to understand people anyway, i now think being a pilot may not be such a great option

From what I understand, he told the pilot that he is clear to takeoff and climb to 3000 feet, then change his radio frequency, and his squawk (transponder code) to base code

Southwest pilots: *Confused screaming.*

That is a very simple craft clearance. Nothing about this is out of the ordinary. He was not overwhelmed at all.

This atc was talking to AlmostCaptainMorgan, I watch her videos a lot because she is a pilot for Southwest. The confused pilot was edited into the audio. The real pilot, Morgan, correctly understood and wrote it down using CRAFT
