I’ve never wanted iron covers, but I don’t care if someone uses them. I judge the guys with $300 putters that four-putt from 10 feet, or the $500 drivers that hit it 150 with a 30 yard slice more.

LOL! I have the exact same iron covers! The last full set of clubs I purchased before my now 2 year old set was 1989. You can bet your butt I'm gonna protect them as best I can because I can't afford clubs every year or two. Plus, I hate hearing them clanking in the back of the Explorer, Guess I best be finding out who my bunk mate is!

Only time iron covers are acceptable is when you're flying somewhere and you check your clubs in their travel case. Those baggage handlers are not gentle.

My bag is individually divided and I use those cheap black ones on every other iron so they don’t chatter. While I figure they do hit rocks the faces are thin and micro etched and whatnot.

I’m obviously a 12+ handicap but also kinda poor lol idk
