The "you're not even making sense" template kind of threw me off with Uprising because it doesn't fit terribly well IMO, but then when it was the setup for Carolus Rex I understood lol

EDIT: Since people are questioning me in replies and I inexplicably have likes on this somewhat unhinged stream-of-consciousness comment, I'll explain what I thought: Uprising is about a matter-of-fact historical event and the lyrics are simple, if evocative, description of said event. Whereas Carolus Rex is a lowkey megalomaniacal almost-villain speech.

0:35 Uprising actually makes a lot of sense if u know the state of Poland in the 40s.
Basically, Polish government escaped the country when WWII started and formed a secret political and military entity in the country. It was large enough that it even took care of stuff like education and social services, and is still considered to be one of the largest resistance groups in history. The name of the entity was Polskie Państwo Podziemne, which translates to the Polish Underground State, as it was hidden from the Soviets and Nazis. Therefore "voices from the underground, whispers of freedom" line in the song probably refer to members of the state and all poles in general taking action against the occupiers in the form of the huge Warsaw Uprising of 1944, which unfortunately was unsuccessful.
