This is a gem. Fuji should pay you for this. Thank you for all the works you do, Pal2tec. Best regards from the Philippines.

What I could have achieved in my life if I had had at least a few teachers like you when I was at school. I might have hated my weekends 😊
Fantastic video, super educational! Your enthusiasm is infectious, turns gloomy moods into permanent smiles.
Wonderful! Looking forward to the third part. Thank you!

The irony of these videos is that they aren't simply the best fuji tutorials, they are probably the best tutorials on flash settings for any camera. I'm somewhat experienced with manual flash but the TTL video was really useful.

I wish this series had been around 5 years ago when i started on my flash journey, it is so clear and simple in it's explanation, yet so on the money.

Thank you for your incredible lessons. I was going crazy not understanding why my shots were all being blown out. Who knew you could change the flash settings in the camera! I learned more from you in two lessons, than I did from a metric ton of books, videos, and online tutors. You are an amazing teacher. You need to put all of these videos into a DVD so we can look at them off line. I'd buy the first one.

I rarely comment on YouTube videos, but I feel compelled to do so concerning your flash series which I am in the process of reviewing. Simply put, it is stunning in its scope and clarity. Thank you so much. I have always found your videos to be both helpful and entertaining and your approach to the topics you cover to be down to earth and extremely approachable. I'll be liking and subscribing when I finish this comment. It's something I should have done ages ago. Thanks again. You are a YouTube gem. Cheers!

I’ve been binging on your videos over the last couple weeks, and I just ordered the X-T4 with the 16-80mm lens and a load of accessories. I got the Sigma 30mm f/1.4 for $264 from Adorama. I have a trip to the beach next weekend so I’m excited to have everything to try out. Thanks for all of your videos. Your enthusiasm for Fuji and the ‘how to’ videos really encouraged me to switch to Fujifilm cameras!

Hi Chris, Thank you for part 2 of the series. In part 3, please point out to viewers that the exposure square is actually a pentagon when using flash as the flash distance from the subject (and background) also impacts relative exposure. Granted that using on camera flash makes that somewhat difficult to control, but it does come into play if the photographer recomposes the shot distance. I always enjoy your videos!

You are an incredible teacher and make everything seems so straightforward and easy to understand! Flash photography always looked intimidating and impossible to achieve, but I am following this series with great enthusiasm and I can see my shots getting more natural already! Thank you so much for all the time and dedication

Watching these multiple times, and each time as I practice what you are saying, it makes more sense. I'm new to photography, and determined to "get" the fear of flash out of my head. Working with Godox V860iii (1 right now, another one on the way so I can have 2 of them). I love your way of teaching, and appreciate the time and effort you put into your videos. OK, now onto lesson 3. On another note, I hope your family in LA is doing alright. It must be tough, and surreal, for families to be going through all this. I was raised in southern California myself, but have been in Colorado since 1989. I still have family in northern California. My heart goes out to everyone affected.

Finally, lesson 2 from one of the best Fuji educators ever. Love your videos. Would appreciate your pointing out some of the differences in settings between the 2 flash units you are using as I only have the 350 version. Well done.

I’ve watched a lot of your videos. I’m still a super beginner, but these are some of your best videos yet. Thank you thank you thank you!

Thank You-Thank You !
You absolutely “hit the nail on the head”. I’ve lost count of how many videos I have watched & always felt something was missing. If I got a good flash pic it was pure luck & a lot of fumbling. All those other videos were put on by show people (Tom Hanks has the right descriptive word). You don’t put on a show you teach. Sad but very few know how. You’ve put your background to great use. We all Thank You for all the many hours you spend to get it right so we can fully understand how to properly use these great Fuji cameras.
Simply said, I get better pictures because of you!
Lesson 2 takes me to a new level of adding light where it’s sometimes needed. 🌅
