Richard, probably, would not like it, but I think Karen woulda "dug it" to use her words. This is great. It brings the future of pop/dance, to a Bonafide classic. To compare with the original serves no purpose. IF this aired on the radio now, I'll bet Richard wouldn't mind the residuals as younger people would re-discover them and pad his pockets more.
