Although the bacteria responsible for cavities CAN be transmitted via kissing… the presence of this bad bacteria in your mouth does not AUTOMATICALLY mean you will get cavities! Your defense is your dental hygiene! Maintaining good oral hygiene habits at home and staying on top of your dental visits will INCREASE your mouth’s DEFENSE against dental disease.

Been with someone who always wanted to make out with tongue. I’m a certified dental assistant, I know what I’m talking about. But they get irrationally angry anytime I mentioned their oral health (extremely bad). No matter the approach, education, niceness…this person is completely content with their plaque buildup that makes them look like they have one big tooth on top.
