Great melodies but i'm still not sure about that VST guitar and how it wasnt live for this song in especifically..

If not for its use in Kevin's route, some might've considered this the "Ikaruga battle theme."

With that being said, I found this track to be a disappointment. It sounds like it might be building up to something, but once it slows things down at about 1:23, it never picks back up again. 1:56 onwards just doesn't feel as epic as it clearly wants to be.

Second-best Singa battle theme in the OST. The instruments all sound very bad but at least the vibes are on point, here. I somehow like the randomness of 1:55 despite how weird it sounds, lol.

Everything until the orchestral bit is some of the best work Singa's done since the Cold Steel games (when he was at his most inspired and creative IMO). Unfortunately all the momentum and energy gets sucked right out when the orchestra takes over. A shame, but still enjoyable nonetheless

I see a lot of praise of this track but i personally think it doesn't fit Rean vs Shizuna at all, i'm rather unimpressed to be honest.

Overrated. You are settling for less. Within Kai, there are better tracks by Singa. A good piece of music in a game goes beyond supposed good composition, it’s about how it’s used and the nuance and depth it brings to the context. This track plays during the confrontation between Rean and Shizuna, but it doesn’t establish anything or contribute to the scene beyond generating hype. It feels out of place. What is this music conveying about Rean Schwarzer or Shizuna, or Rean vs Shizuna? In my view, nothing. Even the harp at the beginning has no connection.
For me, the ideal approach would've been a fusion of what makes CS iconic with the defining elements of Ikaruga and East Zemuria.
