Thanks for making this vid! I need to rivet some horse equipment, and was going to buy a rivet press. Because I have no idea what I'm doing yet. You saved me money!

I love copper rivets, they are cheep and easy to use and you are so right! Old anvils are very expensive. I've been looking around for a few years now and still can't find one. So for now I just use that piece of round stock and a piece of railroad track.

I've not seen a copper rivet before. That was great, thanks. You got a nice piece of round stock to work with too. I'm looking for an old anvil myself but man those things are expensive.

Thanks for watching. I've never heard it called that before and I looked at the link you gave me and didn't see the tool I was talking about but If you Google "copper rivet setter" you'll see tool I'm talking about. :)

you can get the rivets and rivet and burr setter at Orscheln farm and home for about $25 for it all and it will make setting the rivets much faster and easier

Not sure where you live but around here it's perfectly legal to walk the tracks and pick them up. Rail workers just toss them to the side after replacing them, it's not worth the hassle to recycle them. As long as you arn't derailing the train to get them no one cares. lol
