I'm TH 13 almost TH 14 and I haven't spent I single penny. It takes time, but playing the game casually is still possible, I literally only log on like three times a week. Very poor example.

The problem is you wanting to skip leveling up and grinding, it doesn't matter that you can buy your way up, you'll still attack same town hall level villages and continue progress that's fun, skipping the game isn't.

CoC is a easy game to have fun for a bit and log off for the day after raiding a few bases and upgrading one item. Pyro just got the attention span of a peanut ig.

Clash is only a money sink if you wanna skip the whole game. Just play it intentionally then you do it completely free. If anything I'd just say it's more fun when free because gems become such a valuable resource.

But Pyro, think of that £50 you’ll eventually have just wasted if you stop playing. Experts suggest you should keep playing so that the money you spent was worth it :)

I unironically still play Clash. Been playing since the release back in 2012. That being said, the only money I've ever spent has been on Gold Passes, and even I'll admit, especially being a TH16, unless you're super impatient, or really like the hero skin stuff (like me), there is literally no need to buy the Gold Pass. You get decent stuff from the free one.

Even with all the changes Clash has made to the earlier THs to make it quicker to get to like "the good part", it still takes a long while, honestly. So not surprised. But, the money sink is not needed at all, unless you're hella impatient.

COD Mobile is unironically somehow the best version of COD out there rn. It's a free to play over monetized mobile game, but in terms of actual gameplay content it's unparalleled
