To get the best start in Elden Ring for beginners when starting a Mage build is to start the game as the Astrologer Class since it has the highest intelligence stat then follow this walkthrough guide on how to get the best staff location in Elden Ring early game. The Meteorite staff has an S scaling in intelligence making it one of the best intelligence weapons with the drawback that it cannot be upgraded. I just picked up this game. I am now full of delight as I am going to partake in this small quest for the meteorite staff after work today.

ESO, I really have to thank you for your guides. I have 2 main "problems", I haven't played any of the "souls games" before and I am 60+. Learning new muscle memories at my age takes a lot of time, so I often have to think about what key to press. Not optimal in a Boss fight ;-). But I know one thing, being over-leveled and having the best equipment solves most problems. The meteorite staff and the rock sling has helped me with every boss in Liurnia and Weeping Peninsula and The Lazuli Glintstone sword and a good shield are the only reason I survived some caves. And the the 100K runes from the dragon gave me a good start. I still die tons of times but I get them in the end ;-)
I've just killed Margit on my 2'nd try, (yeah I am over-leveled like crazy ;-)

5:17 you can also go around back of the building. There is a ledge that you can walk on and grab the staff

Not sure if anyone has pointed it out but there is a teleport trap you can take to Caelid. You just have to escape the crystal tunnel and the Staff and spell is about a 1 min away from it.

The meteorite staff is awesome and easy to get with in the first hour or so. I used it as a primary staff for awhile and a secondary staff. If you are heavily leveling up intelligence early, you will love this staff.

I’m honestly surprised at how expansive this game really is I myself am not a fan of dark souls or bloodborn I just never put time in them but this game is awesome and I’m really enjoying it so I guess I’ll try to put some time in the others to learn the lore of the universe

The staff was fantastic and very helpful. So was the spell. The outfit has worse stats than my starter Astrologer gear.

I reccommend getting meteorite staff early game, putting as many points into mind and int. Then getting lusats staff and upgrading it as much as possible for mid to late, while putting points into faith so late game you can use the death prince staff. Which does more damage fully upgraded and doesn't have any fp reduction and it boosts death spells. FYI it may be pretty hard to fully upgrade and use the prince of death staff first play through so it's not the end of the world if you use a 10+ lusats staff after all I beat the game using it.

Edit: I beat maleania 3 times so I'm a pretty reliable source on what to do in the game if ya don't trust my methods

THanks for the great video! If you walk around the outside of the building to the right of the door where the staff is you can grab it from the outside and not even deal with the enemies in the room.

location is quite easy if you head to the ruins at Agheel Lake (flying dragon boss) and open the chest (transport trap). it will teleport you into a crystal mine where you sneak-out slow and easy. with your horse its a 40sec ride to the meteorite staff.
