Hello from South Africa. We are one month into Spring. I got to celebrate my daughter's 6th birthday on the 1st of September (Spring day) and I will get to celebrate my son's first birthday on the 7th of December at the very start of Summer. It is so discombobulating to watch all the booktube creators talking about snuggling up with pumpkin spice and cozy blankets and spooky reads and I'm sitting here in 32 degree temps dying of the heat! SO JELLY!

What I look forward to most every fall is …… my birthday 🎂. I’m in Arkansas and we have fall at night and summer in the afternoon so ya got to do layers. I love all the scenery from the ones that live up north because our leaves aren’t changing, yet and that’s my 2nd favorite thing about fall.

I'm excited about getting to curl up in the reading nook I set up in my bedroom... Which I could do in summer but I put all the cozy blankets to wrap up in on chilly days so I'm stoked to finally get to utilize them!

I read The Haunting of Ashburn House last Halloween and enjoyed it. The haunted atmosphere vibes were perfect. I am also very excited about Within These Wicked Walls and can't wait to hear what you think of it. I also have an overambitious TBR this month because in addition to my list of spooky reads, I am planning to participate in the Victorber readathon, which for me includes two Bronte books, Dracula, and Carmilla, a novel predating Dracula in which the vampire is actually female, so I'm excited to read those together.
