What AT&T Doesn't Want You to Know

17,000 AT&T workers across the South have launched a huge strike. They’re fuming that wire techs are paid & treated worse than other employees. A top exec recently called them “second-class.” Now workers are striking to demand a raise and an end to the two-tiered contract.

More Perfect Union’s mission is to build power for working people. Here’s what that means:

We report on the real struggles and challenges of the working class from a working-class perspective, and we attempt to connect those problems to potential solutions.

We report on the abuses and wrongdoing of corporate power, and we seek to hold accountable the ultra-rich who have too much power over America’s political and economic systems.

We're an independent, nonprofit newsroom. To support our work:

People this is what unions are for, when companies pull shit like this. The public needs to see this and support
these workers. Hang in there.

Corporate has forgotten that without the people that actually do the physical labor their parasitic investors would be SOL!

Its NOT only AT&T with this problem, its CORPORATE AMERICA

BIG COMPANIES DONT CARE ABOUT THEIR EMPLOYEES OR CUSTOMERS, they only care about the shareholders

AT&T has bigger secrets to hide than this.

I retired early from AT&T even though it hurt me economically. I couldn't take the micromanagement and the adversarial atmosphere that the company created. I started with Bellsouth, a much better company. Bellsouth saw its frontline techs as assets, AT&T sees them as liabilities.

I am in operations where PMs are waiting for the strikes to end. Without you guys, we have nobody to get the work done. You guys are so critical to our company that we cannot progress without hands on board. Please keep this up because we are feeling the pressure, and we know there’s nothing we can do until we get the hands back. Let me repeat, THE STRIKE IS WORKING, AND WE ARE ON FULL STOP UNTIL WE HAVE HANDS BACK ON THE HARDWARE. Keep it up, it is inspiring!! Much love 🧡

I am a virtual assistant. I have had more than 50 people who have hired me just to call AT&T and get their issue resolved. I abhore AT&T for this reason alone. Nothing wrong with the workers. They are always polite when I finally get one in person. So you strike for all you can get. I wholeheartedly stand with you!!!

2%? Thats a 1% pay reduction when you consider that the national inflation rate is 3%.

Thank you for making this video. As a wire tech on strike it’s good to see the coverage this is getting.

Stay strong! CWA strong!

Billionaires are far too greedy to share the wealth. They are struggling with the disease of greed.A byproduct of greed is the CEO and thats where the profit goes leaving the actual employee struggling for crumbs. Its disgusting and I support the workers but executive's are a waste of resources.

As a long-time AT&T customer, fight. I'm not paying my money to make some suit rich, and I'm definitely not paying to mistreat workers. If they don't side with you all, I'm dropping service. It's that simple.

I'm in a rural area where AT&T made us use lines that were over 50 yr old, they had nothing but issues (like going out for days after it rained, lol) so we switched to Voip and never looked back. I feel really bad about the workers but I'm glad I save $1000+ per year. If they treat customers bad, imagine what they do to employees! This just confirms my suspicions.

Wages are not shared, companies need to pay for the wirk employees do because a company is nothing without employees work. They think they're giving money away but profits are from the workers
