I am sorry to have to tell you... it comes across as any member of older generations trying to appeal to the younger by attemting to be funny to hold aggressively onto their youth and relatability, which means you will have people like this too. My condolences. Every generation is cringe as hell.

The internet gives us a very warped view of the real world out there.
Most of us are passive consumers, but there’s that little crowd that is so loud that they’re all we can virtually see and hear, let it be politics, consumerism or whatever, we forget that what we see online is not a representation of all of society in real life, it’s only facets that contribute to the bigger picture. These millennials are the few attention hungry theater kids that peaked in high school, no normal person behaves like that.
