As an NFL fan Acho is a bad take vending machine. I don't begrudge anybody making a business decision. It's no my life or anymore else's. They gotta make the decision. Let's call it what it is. It's quitting.

Can’t stand to listen to most takes from the brothers Acho

Acho must have forgotten about how former kentucky QB Will Levis was crying his eyes out when no NFL team picked him for the first round. Levis skipped his bowl game. The same with Jalin Hyatt at Tennessee. He won the Bilienkoff Award for best wide receiver. People were perplexed at why he went the third round instead of second. He skipped his Orange Bowl game. These NFL teams are starting to penalize these players for sitting out because that shows that they will sit out in the NFL.

Someone said Oprah gave acho clout. If that's true then rip. Look at her track record with oz and phil 💀

Why is everybody overreacting to his comment period he simply said he should consider sitting out, consider folks.

This is just sad that it’s even a conversation. What about the fans?!

Thanks, Mr. Pate, for the great take.

And this is yet another example of why college basketballs platform is far superior than college football. Vegas numbers don’t lie. Whether you like it or not.

Acho is right.. everybody who disagree only want Caleb Williams to play for their own entertainment.. Josh Pate without Caleb Williams and stars like him you have nothing to talk about.. That's why you want him out there. You could care less whether he get hurt.. If you know you are going to be a top draft pick You should consider it.. What else is he playing for? He's won a Heisman they're not going to win a championship game of course these games are meaningless to him.(maybe not to the fans) what he need 5 more TD to increase his draft status He could have left last year. Everybody who think its crazy is because you want him out there for your own selfish reason Because you definitely not thinking about him and his future.. Let me ask you all the question What if he play and tear up his knee then what?

This mentality is why Acho was a 6th round draft pick and did nothing in the NFL.

I don't think ot is a garbage opinion. The fact is Caleb Williams would not even be there if the NFL didnt mandate 3 years out of college for draftees. He is worth way more than his NIL deal. If college football wants their players to value the program, they need to be willing to pay them what they are worth. If you are relying on some gimmic to funnel talent to you, dont be surprised if those players aren't loyal. The fact is, If Caleb goes out and blows his ACL, USC will not pay him for lost NFL potential. And neither will these free-loading fans screeming about the "Love of the Sport"

The play=offs did not create meaningless games or meaningless bowls. There have always been meaningless games and once there were more than a handful of bowls - meaningless bowl games. I am not saying that they were meaningless to the fans of those 2 teams. I am saying they were meaningless to the larger football world in general. I mean, come on, the 1976 Blue Bonnet Bowl was meaningless. That is just a fact.

Acho is a great example of how you can play football yet not actually be a football player. I do view him as correct from a business perspective. He is not going to materially increase his draft capital aka money. Don’t get the argument of sitting now vs before the season starts if we talking business

If Caleb goes out there and blows his knee will you pay his bills? Great take by Acho imo

It was a bad business decision for Williams to follow a coach who cannot field a competent defense to USC.

Acho is actually right. It is a business decision. Caleb is seen as a lock for a 1st rd pick and for many projected as # 1 overall. But that was the case before the season started. So why would Acho now advise Caleb to forgo the rest of the season when by Acho's own logic he should never have played to begin with? Seems hypocritical to me. High level athletes train to play at every opportunity so to intentionally avoid playing for purely selfish reasons outside of the obvious mental or physical hardship is unethical.

This is where we are today where it's all about self-interest and personal greed. They don't care about the culture of college football. Why is anybody surprised by this suggestion?

I don't like either but there is _nothing_ Caleb needs to do to prove himself for NFL draft and USC is going nowhere. So yeah, the best thing he can do for himself is start thinking about the Draft.

However, that is not the case for just about every other player. They can still increase their value by playing with all they have until the season is over. BIG difference!

Acho should be sent to cover the NFL, or be fired. If you don’t want the top players of the sport your getting to paid to talk about to play in said sport, you shouldn’t cover that sport.
