Right on Dave, I work because it gives meaning. But more importantly I have 2 sons who have my name. They need their father example and his effort to be good men themselves someday!

My job is meaningless to me. I’m in healthcare, I’ve been told we are easily replaced. I’ve been sucking it up for 37 years. The only good points of my job is it pays the bills, there’s usually a hospital with open positions and if I needed to switch shifts for my family I could. I chose poorly in college and have no other skills so I’m sucking it up til retirement

Reason 1: To survive. To eat. Leave the cave, hunt the prey, catch the prey and prepare DINNER. Or else go to bed hungry

Reason 2: For purpose and fulfillment (to realize one’s potential, or use one’s gift and talent)

Some people learn this lesson in their teens. Other’s still haven’t learned it in their 5th decade.

I actually loved my job helping customers navigate power company; however I encountered such negativity from coworkers that I retired sooner than i wanted

The most important reason to me is, throughout history everything we can be thankful for that is man made is because of work. Why not want to be apart of our greatness?

Yea I hate my job but I make 135k a year … so I just suffer and accept the fact that any other job I would get pays half the salary … so i

Or like my job can’t have both. I figure I will try to retire by 50 to offset the suck that is my current work life

The main reason why most need to work today is because we drive the cost of production of goods up by speaking more money into existence. The more money we speak into existences versus what we produce creates scarcity of things in relation to supply of money. This debt snowball only worsens the situation further.

In short creating money for free is the wrong system we operate under.

Well, I would say the goal is to not suck it up for 38 years but in fact many people have done that for their families and in fact in my opinion our heroes not everybody has the ability brain power or advantages in life to improve their situation some people just barely make it
